Cookies Policy
1. About Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of text stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise your device, remember preferences, and provide certain features such as secure areas or analytics. Some cookies are essential for our site to function, while others help us improve performance and user experience.
2. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings (see guides for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). Please note that if you block all cookies, some parts of our site may not work properly.
We also provide cookie preference controls on this site, allowing you to enable or disable specific categories of cookies. If you disable a feature, the cookies may remain in your browser until they expire, but the feature will no longer load or access them.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
a) First-party cookies
These are set directly by our website when you interact with it. They are only sent back to our servers and not shared with other sites.
b) Essential cookies
These cookies are required for our site to function securely and correctly. Disabling them may affect core features.
- w_c – remembers your cookie preferences. Expires after one month.
- w_id – allows access to password-protected pages. Expires when you close your browser.
c) Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve its performance. These cookies are only set once you accept cookies on our site. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
- _ga – distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
- _gid – distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 1 day.
- _ga_5XF4BJB73G – remembers visitor session details. Expires after 2 years.
- _gat_UA-141348221-1 – limits requests to Google. Expires after 1 minute.
- _gat_UA-174241950-31 – limits requests to Google. Expires after 1 minute.
d) Website activity in our private CRM (only with your permission)
If you click "Accept", our website also sends a record of your visit to our own customer relationship management (CRM) system, which only our team can access. It records the pages you view, roughly how long the page stays open, when you start one of our enquiry forms, and that you clicked our phone, email or brochure links (not the number, address or anything you type). It also notes the page you arrived on, the website that referred you (domain name only) and any campaign name in the link. We do not record your IP address, full web addresses or query strings, or what you type into forms as part of this activity record.
- alkaliWebsiteSession (session storage) – a random visit ID, created only after you accept. Cleared when you close the tab, after 30 minutes of inactivity, or if you reject or withdraw.
- consentMode and alkaliWebsiteAnalyticsConsentVersion (local storage) – remember your choice.
If you send us an enquiry after accepting, the enquiry is linked to that visit history so our team can see how you found us. Visit-level browsing detail is kept for 90 days. Your enquiry itself is handled separately as described in our Privacy Policy. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the website footer; withdrawing stops recording and asks our CRM to clear the visit data for your current visit.
