Alkali Environmental Renews UKAS Accreditation for Stack Emissions Testing
Alkali Environmental is pleased to announce the successful renewal of our UKAS accreditation (Laboratory No. 24303) for stack emissions testing services. The renewal follows a rigorous assessment by UKAS assessors, confirming our laboratory's continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 — the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories.
Our accredited scope covers a comprehensive range of stack emissions testing methods, including the measurement of particulate matter, metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), acid gases, and other pollutants from industrial process exhausts. This accreditation is essential for providing legally defensible emissions data that satisfies Environmental Permit conditions.
The assessment reviewed our quality management system, staff competence records, equipment calibration procedures, and measurement uncertainty calculations. Our assessors noted the thoroughness of our technical procedures and the consistency of our reporting standards.
UKAS accreditation provides our clients with confidence that their emissions testing data will be accepted by regulators without challenge. For operators holding Environmental Permits under the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), MCERTS-compliant testing by a UKAS accredited laboratory is a legal requirement for periodic emissions monitoring.
We continue to invest in staff training, equipment maintenance, and method development to maintain the highest standards of testing accuracy and reliability.
